Inger and Kurt from Danmark

We were planning for a comprehensive treatment of Inger's teeth, so that she would not only be able to chew food, but also look good.

We believe that proper condition of teeth is an important personal value and therefore we were prepared to spend a significant amount on this, considering that our capabilities as pensioners with only small savings are limited.

Therefore right from the start we were determined to carry out the treatment at lowest possible cost, and we decided, without having any previous knowledge of the matter, to use the services of a Polish dentist.

We consulted three clinics located in Copenhagen, each time receiving a written offer including a description of necessary operations, their schedule and cost estimates.

The choice of a dentist was not easy, but we got convinced by the treatment plan proposed by Mr Tomasz Cegielski, being also the most attractive from the economic point of view, providing good quality at a good price.

Of course many people we spoke to before and after treament presented all kinds of terrifying scenarios you can imagine, with worst things possible that might happen due to the use of the services of a Polish dentist. In our case, all of this turned out to be completely unjustified.

However, we were undobtedly very aware of all possible risks and therefore we were paying close attention to what was happening before, during and after all treatment procedures. Everything went as it should, and that is why we found it appropriate to write this letter, hoping that it will help other people looking for dental care in making decisions that are right for them.

Of course the fundamental reason why we were looking into possibilities to carry out treatment abroad, e.g. in Poland, was the desire to save money, but now, after treatment, we are not sure whether a Danish dentist would be able to carry out such a comprehensive set of treatment procedures in an equally perfect and flawless manner. That we will never know.

The treatment plan presented by Mr Cegielski was fulfilled from beginning to end, its effects are very satisfactory, and the price and schedule were met.

As the treatment included implantation, two week-long stays in Poland were necessary. The clinic's Danish secretary, Charlotte, helped us with planning and booking our bus trips and accommodation at the SAS Radisson Hotel in Szczecin.

Mr Tomasz Cegielski carried out all the work related to implants and placing the crowns, while the other very competent dentist, Ms Katarzyna Matuszak, carried out all other treatment operations. The treatment process included:

• 14 porcelain crowns
• 4 implants
• 4 porcelain crowns on implants
• 1 tooth extraction
• 1 root canal treatment
• 1 composite filling
• 1 tooth neck filling
• whitening of 4 teeth
• scaling (tartar removal)
• X-ray imaging
• 3D computer tomography necessary for implantation
• necessary anaesthesia
• necessary temporary crowns

Financial issues

The total bill amounted to 47,735 zł (Polish złoty), which was exactly as agreed beforehand. Admittedly, the exchange rate of the złoty has risen in the meantime, so that now 1 zł equals almost 2 Danish crowns – this is much more than we initially assumed, but of course this is not the doctor's fault.

The costs of two 8-day stays in the hotel and bus trips for two people amounted to ca. 10,000 kr, but because we treated these trips in part as holiday trips, we see this price as moderate. Looking from the Danish perspective, price levels in Poland are low.

We are very happy with the entire service and we think that – even taking into account travel and acommodation expenses – we saved about 40-50% of the costs, in an amount of ca. 100,000 kr.

It is therefore our pleasure to recommend STOMATOLOGIA Tomasz Cegielski clinic.
